He spent much of this year visiting tradeshows, where he cooked up buttermilk pies, black eyed peas and other fixings to help build his business and his name. Around the same time, Stubb came out with two marinades, one for chicken and one for pork, to make cooking even easier for folks at home.
Stubb had been very involved in the planning of the restaurant, but he left us too soon to see it completed. Our marinades and sauces are now available in in the UK. This lead us to a renewed commitment to using natural sweetners like sugar, brown sugar, and molasses.
This year also marked the release of our new injectable marinades: Texas Butter and Chipotle Butter. In May , Stubb passed away, headed to " the smoker in the sky " to spread love, happiness, and barbecue. While it may been strange for Stubb to see his face become an icon and his name become synonymous with sauce, there's little doubt that the man who frequently told friends that he wanted to feed the world would be pleased by the outcome.
